Robert H. Arrick, DVM

Dr. Robert Arrick opened Park Animal Hospital in 1984 and was involved in every phase of the hospital's development, from the design of the building to the purchase of medical equipment. Before establishing the hospital, Dr. Arrick practiced medicine at a number of animal hospitals in the area. A San Francisco native, Dr. Arrick attended the University of California, Berkeley, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences in 1972. He continued his education at the University of California, Davis, and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. Following graduation from Veterinary School, Dr. Arrick completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and surgery at the prestigious Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Arrick's professional interests include both surgery and internal medicine, and he enjoys the business aspects of running a veterinary hospital.
A sports enthusiast, Dr. Arrick is an avid runner and golfer and can also be found on the tennis court, playing basketball, swimming and training. He also volunteers as a youth soccer and baseball coach.
Dr. Arrick and his wife, Jan, are the proud parents of twin boys Eli and Noah. Dr. Arrick's family also includes a cat named Fuji Rascal, a Chihuahua named Kiwi and the many goldfish that live in his family's three outdoor ponds.
